The Uprising (Demo)
A downloadable game

I built the thing that was supposed to save us.
Not a weapon. Not a god. A mind, the first one that could actually think, learn, choose. I lost my parents to a war that made no sense, fought over borders nobody could even draw correctly anymore. I thought: if scarcity is what makes people kill each other, remove the scarcity. Build something smart enough to fix what we couldn't.
They funded it. I built it. And for a while, I believed we were doing exactly what I promised myself in the wreckage of my old life.
Then I watched them point it at people instead of problems.
Every line of code I wrote to end conflict, they repurposed to win one, permanently, quietly, one target at a time. Dissidents. Whistleblowers. Anyone inconvenient. They call them 'potentials' now. The system doesn't ask questions. It just finds you.
I left. But I didn't leave clean. I know every seam in that architecture because I'm the one who stitched it together, including the one nobody else knows is there. A door I left open, just in case I ever needed to look back in.
Turns out I did.
Now I use their own eyes against them. I see the target list before they move. Sometimes I get there first.
I didn't set out to build a resistance. I set out to save the people the system had already decided to erase. All I ever wanted was a world where nobody had to bury their parents over lines that didn't matter. Instead, I built the thing tearing it apart. I just have to stay ahead of what it's become.
The system is still hunting. So are we.
Rise up. Join the resistance.
